Introductions, Apologies and Substitutions

[1]               Ann Jones: Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the Children, Young People and Education Committee. For this formal part, I just to need to record the ongoing apologies of Angela Burns, but her substitute, Paul Davies, is unable to be with us, as are Suzy Davies, Simon Thomas and Bethan Jenkins, and also John Griffiths and Lynne Neagle. The only item on this agenda was to record the apologies and to say that we will now move into private session, if it’s agreeable, to have a discussion with the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Sally Holland—this is her first visit to our committee—on some of the items that we, as a committee, may want to come on to. Then, we’re going to have a discussion—in private, again—with Dame Sue Bailey and Carol Shillabeer, both of whom have got an interest in mental health, which is going to help us to, hopefully, take our mental health inquiries forward.
